Both of these photos are from my Instagram because I really love them. O loves chewing on his toothbrush and eating the toothpaste, but he hates having them brushed. Rufus was the same. I love this photo of Ru drying his hair. He watches himself in the mirror, and laughs at the shapes of his hair. I’ve also caught him practising his grumpy faces right in front of the mirror a few times, which is very him.

R: Ru is such an easy child in some ways, but he is also very stubborn. If you give him two options, or create a compromise he won’t take either, and it can feel impossible. This week he has surprised me by dealing with situations with Winston well and being really quite thoughtful. He loves being in the car and pointing out all the fast cars to me.

O: I keep catching Otto standing up and it’s so exciting! My two eldest started walking before they could stand up independently (they would crawl to the sofa to get back up), whereas O can just stand by himself. He loves it when we clap and make a fuss of him.

Both gorgeous photos, I especially love that one of Ru with the hairdryer, that’s more appropriate for a frame than any staged photo, this is the sort of thing that memories are made of.

Children just seem to dislike brushing their teeth! My little boy was the same. HE sure looks like he is loving chewing on that brush though! Ru’s face with the hairdryer is brilliant!

Otto standing is such a huge milestone – I think my two were like your eldests – I can’t quite remember. A and T aren’t keen on hairdryers, or hand dryers or even hoovers so that photo of Ru really made me smile – how different children can be! x

That is so interesting. All of mine follow the hoover, and love hairdyers! Maybe I am noisy, so they’re used to noise! Haha!!! x
