Autumn styling with Lighthouse

Lighthouse is an exciting outerwear clothing brand for men, women and children that launched in March 2016, and I’m their newest fan.The Lighthouse philosophy is all about inspiring our inner adventurer of the simple everyday, whether that’s through woodland wanderings, a breezy coastal walk, or a countryside stroll.

Autumn is in full swing and although it’s certainly not freezing – there is definitely a chill in the air. Britain is known for its unpredictable weather all year round, which is why we all need a weatherproof coat on hand at all times…and if it’s super stylish too – what’s not to love?

Lighthouse incorporates cosy new fabrics, hand drawn prints and reliable, highly waterproof features. Lighthouse aims to protect you from the elements so you can keep the adventures going, whatever the weather, without compromising on style. I was asked to style a piece from their latest collection, and decided to go for the Outrider 3/4 length coat in Fern. I loved the length, the traditional feel to it, the cape, the fun lining, the detachable hood and the antique brass features.

To show you how versatile the Outrider coat is, I have styled it for three occasions: the school run, lunch with friends and a stroll in the country, but don’t be fooled – this coat could also brave just about anything Mother Nature decides to throw at you. It has taped seams, is much warmer than I expected and is absolutely rain, wind and weatherproof. It will fill a hole you didn’t know you had.

Many thanks to the very kind people at Lighthouse who sent me this coat free of charge in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and feelings are my own.
