We are home safe and sound after a bit of a whirlwind week camping in Normandy, France with Jared’s family. Time spent on the beach, eating crossiants, playing games, playing with cousins, and watching my two eldest have major meltdowns over how cold the pool was. We also had a fantastic time visiting lots of D-Day memorials, beaches, bridges and musuems. I really have learnt a lot, and Winston particularly loved learning about what happened, plus seeing countless tanks, guns and aeroplanes.
W: In a weird way I’ve missed Win this week, because he’s been so busy playing with his cousins.
R: Ru loved playing with one cousin in particular this week. His first proper friendship I would say.
O: O has had his first swimming experience. It was in a pool with about 50 people doing an aqua fitness class, plus a very loud speaker and children dive bombing and splashing him in the face (!) …which all seemed to start within 10 seconds of us entering the pool. Thankfully, he didn’t seem to mind.
