Sweet things – made and discovered

Win finishes nursery this week and I can’t believe it has come around so quickly. I must admit I am feeling a little nervous as the summer holidays approach us. My confidence isn’t fully there when taking three out for the day – mainly due to toilet trips and Win’s lack of listening skills. We’ll get there though, we’ll have to!

A little late with ‘made and discovered’, but I didn’t want to miss it:

  • Baking – I went a bit crazy with baking last week because we had a family get together over the weekend. Some new ones and some old classics. My sister and I ended up making 18 different things! coconut macaroons20160701_181715
  • Lemon and lime candle – We gave these to Win’s nursery teachers to say thank you. I spent about £8 on soya wax flakes via Amazon (makes about 6 mug candles). Win chose lemon and lime for fragrance. There is something very relaxing about watching the wax set, pouring it and then watching it set again.20160630_083720
  • Jam jar flowers – A few market flowers mixed with greens from the garden. They make me so happy and I was pleased how they turned out.20160701_202838
  • £1 coins – Recently I’ve been planting £1 coins in most of my coat pockets. I have been caught out so many times with parking and shopping trolleys – not any more. I feel so smug as I whip one out – “Any one need a pound? I’ve got a spare”.
  • ASOS premier delivery – I signed up for ASOS premier next day delivery last week and it is amazing! £9.95 for a whole year of next day delivery.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Asos premier delivery sounds amazing, I must do this! But I need to order stuff for it to be of any use. I keep filling my basket up then lose confidence at the thought of wearing them…. Silly really.

Those candles are fab, I really want to try them. Jam jar flowers are a favourite here too, brightens up the house something else!

You’ll gain confidence doing it, we’ve all been there and I felt it with having four. I think it gets to the point where you have to just take each moment as it comes otherwise it gets you flustered! I still have days like that now!

All that baking is making me hungry, those handmade name tags are fab too! Where did you get the alphabet set from? I have a set But one that’s not the font I was after.

    Have a great week xx

Thanks Nat! Asos is fab because it’s free returns. It’s definitely worth trying it all on at home and then returning what you don’t like. Far less daunting than shops I think.

The alphabet set is just from Hobbycraft. It was £10 a few years ago. I use it quite a lot.

Aw I love your jam jar flowers, so cute! I never buy fresh flowers, but sometimes pick some from the garden to brighten up the house. I’m going to save my jam jars now!

Oh my goodness so many makes in one post. Perhaps I will just have to start and the top and work my way through them! Although I think I am going to skip to the bottom and include the £1 idea right away! Thanks. #littlmakes
