20160712_191323“A portrait of my boys, once a week, every week, in 2016″.

I think the last week or so may go down as one of the best times of my life. A time that I will remember and treasure, like many other moments in my life. I have flitted between my mum’s house and home – catching up with people, popping into town with family members, been to a baby shower, attended a family wedding, been wakeboarding and had a lovely afternoon with friends. A time full of reminicising, hugging, emotion, fun and love. A time when you are reminded who you are, and what you want from life. A time when you realise how fortunate you are, and a time full of lots of ordinary, day to day happenings of motherhood (of course).

W: Win has played with his cousins non stop this past week, and he has loved it.

R: A few people over the last few weeks have commented that they are suprised how strong willed and cheeky Ru can be – because he looks so sweet and harmless.

O: I feel like Otto is very noise sensitive compared to the other two. He can be a fussy feeder if I’m in a room with lots of people, or even if I’m sat talking to someone.

E xx

This photo is not the best, but I love it.

Lovely photo, and the words too. I am feeling very fortunate especially after scary events last week., but you’ve summed it up in one. I do wish I had like minded friends to be around though , can be tricky trying to find time for anything but it sounds like you’ve had a lovely week. Gratitude in its simplest form. Would love to meet up again one day x

Life minded friends – particularly friends with children has made such a difference to my life. I really had to work hard to find some which must sound so weird! xx

It doesn’t! I’m mostly on my own with the kids as none of my friends have the same amount and have gone out of the baby stage… 🙁 Larry loner I am lol 😂

Aw I’m so glad you’ve had such a good week. Wake boarding sounds particularly fabulous! My youngest is a bit more sensitive to noise than her big sister too, she reacted really well to white (rain) noise to help with sleeping.x

Thanks for the tip Nat. You should totally try wakeboarding. It is SO much fun and not as hard to do as people think it is. I’m no pro, but I can get up and enjoy myself. Such a rush! x

This literally brought tears to my eyes. I have no idea why really, just that sometimes, knowing who you are and what you want from life are the simplest yet the best things – and I often catch myself, lump in throat, thinking just how fortunate I am. Love the photo too – your boys are already the best of buddies x

Thank you so much Donna. Absolutely. And I often think that gratitude is such a gift. I really hope they grow to love each other as adults, as much as they do now, despite the ups and downs xx
