“A portrait of my boys, once a week, every week, in 2016″.
At the end of last week I started feeling ill and I was worried it was going to descend into a virus or the flu because I felt so awful. I lost my voice, felt shivery, achy and sweaty, had really sore eyes and my head was completely congested. Thankfully on Saturday afternoon I started feeling much better and I was so relieved. I’ve definitely had a few ‘mad moments’ this week with the three of them – Otto is getting far more wakeful.
This photo displays their roles perfectly – Ru constantly draped over Otto, and Winston doing a ‘show and tell’.
W: My favourite line from Win this week: “Mum, do you want to come in the bath with us? Neither of us have wee’d in it.” Needless to say, I declined his kind offer.
R: Ru’s ‘no stage’ has been a bit wearing this week. He says no, even if he means yes and it has been quite frustrating at times. He is either the happiest child ever, or upset and angry with everything. Teeth cleaning and nappy changing are two total nightmares! On the plus side he always completely adores Otto.
O: Even though O is my third baby – there is still so much guesswork involved with a newborn. He weighed just over 10lbs on Friday, so I have finally managed to get him back to his birth weight. I’m taking full credit for that one!

Ah what a lovely photo. Otto is already looking adoring at his big brother! I’m glad you’re feeling better. I was so ill after I had my second baby, it was a really difficult time.

Thank you – illness and parenting are never a good combination, especially with a new baby xx
I laughed out loud at that quote from Winston! How could you have declined such an offer?! x #LivingArrows
I know! Seriously tempting! xx
Love this photo, perfectly sums up the madness and totally cuteness of having three young boys. I have so many photo like this from when the twins were little, just so much going on in a small space. Glad you are doing ok now xx
I love what you said about lots going on in a small space! So, so true!!! x
love this photo. Just shows exactly what they’re like with each other. Nice to hear about their personalities and stages they’re going through too #livingarrows
Thanks Emma xx
That button picture is beautiful. You can tell they are all going to be so close later on. The line about the bath made me laugh out loud! x
I really hope they’ll be close. How gross are kids? Haha xx
Your description of Ru sounds just like my 2 year old, sometimes I think she might be bipolar…
Kids are bonkers…but absolutely brilliant! x
