I keep hearing that January is a long, dreary and sad month, but my ‘Styling the Seasons’ for January is unashamedly cheery. So far January and I are getting on rather well. The emptier calendar, the winter sun, the decluttering and the excitement of a new year – plus the weather is unpredictable, which can be fun!
Our shoe cupboard is the first thing you see when you enter our house. I love playing around with the display and it’s become a real reflection of how I’m feeling. January has unsurprisingly brought with it a sense of renewal and I am loving all things white and fresh. I’ve probably gone totally over the top with flowers, but they are starting to feel ‘right’ again, as I keep spotting small, yet hopeful signs of spring outdoors.
That said, I’m not yet ready to rid myself of candles – so I’ve included a couple. I love coming in for the day and lighting them around the house. It’s a become a little ritual before I start cooking dinner, then all of a sudden one day I’ll stop, as the evenings start to lighten up.
Hope you’re having a lovely week!

Flowers in the home are so therapeutic I find. I love them and they brighten up any day or even mood! Our house is a bit upside down at the minute with so many DIY jobs and renovations but having flowers in our finished kitchen works wonders! x
Couldn’t agree more! Flowers can change the whole mood of everything xx
