“A portrait of my boys, once a week, every week, in 2016″.
I definitely favoured hibernating last week which seemed to tie in conveniently with Win not feeling well. On Saturday he seemed fine and I felt like we all needed to get outdoors for some fresh air.
I had two photos to choose between this week – this one, and one of Win annoying Ru and making him cross. In the end I decided on this one because Win offering to hold Ru’s hand is far more rare. Ru was slipping on the mud and Win offered to run back and help him, which let me tell you – is incredibly rare!
W: Win has literally drawn, painted and crafted for hours and hours this week. I’ve had to stop him some days because he gets so frustrated and upset if things don’t turn out how he wants them too. We’re realising that he’s a real perfectionist, and we’re trying to work out how to approach it.
R: Ru is at such an easy stage and I love it! This week he’s particularly loved kicking a ball around the lounge: “Play fup-ball with me now!” said a million times!

Gorgeous pic and accompanied tale 🙂 love it!
I think Win’s perfectionism has certainly taken him to great heights, he will go far with how well he does things.. its lovely to see, I’m sure with age he will learn what to push his energies into and when its okay to make a mistake?!
Ru’s well cute! I love that it goes in cycles of being easy and not so you can appreciate them lol x
I hope so. He puts so much pressure on himself to do things correctly, even though there is no correct way to draw anything! It comes out in so many ways, and we’re trying some new ways of talking to him – hopefully it will help him get less frustrated xx
Oh I love them all wrapped up warm! They look so close. You have been tweaking your theme! I love a bit of a change x
The other header was stressing me out. Simplicity for now! x
