Krakòw, home and ‘The Shoemaker’s Christmas Wish’ – #Littleloves

Jared and I had a lovely weekend away in Krakòw. I spent the first half feeling like something was missing and I never got used to sitting still. It really was so strange, yet so wonderful to just be. We’re not used to walking down the street hand in hand and sometimes I really had to remember that we could.

It was clear the boys had had a fantastic time with my parents and it was like we’d never been away. We tried to persuade Win that he’d missed us, but we didn’t really get anywhere. I’m told they were no trouble at all…I’m not so sure! I was so happy to be reunited with them.

Read

Erm, lots whilst we were sightseeing – none of them very jolly though.

Watched

The four of us were invited to view ‘The Shoemaker’s Christmas Wish‘ at Rainbow Factory in Leeds on Wednesday night and we all loved it. The two actresses pulled it off wonderfully, and somehow managed to incorporate a guitar, a harmonica, a flute and a xylophone. It was so funny and so festive. It was 40 minutes and the boys both sat on bean bags near the front. Win didn’t know what to make of it until about half way through, when he finally cracked a smile. Both of them were completely captivated and I had such admiration for the two ladies – they were just so fantastic.

Heard

I had a midwife appointment this week and Jared was able to make it, so it was nice for all four of us to hear the baby’s heartbeat. I am terrible at keeping track of movements, so it was good to have reassurance that the heartbeat is nice and strong.

Made

This week Rufus and I made some Polish style treats for a friend. Win and I still have quite a few projects to get through from our advent calendar, as we need to catch up from the weekend.

Wore

My mum’s coat. My winter coat doesn’t zip up any more so my mum kindly leant one of hers to me for our weekend away. As a consequence every picture from our holiday screams: “You are your mum” at me! Kind of scary (in a good way). I bought a pair of maternity leggings and a striped polo neck jumper from H&M in Krakòw. The jumper is my new favourite!

and lastly…

I found this guy falling to sleep on our windowsill after swimming yesterday. I’d only gone upstairs to put Ru down for his nap. Both of them were completely shattered, and so was I!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Looks like you had such a lovely trip away just the two of you. I think its something my partner & I need as we get very little child-free time (no matter how much we miss them! I think its a healthy need for all.)

    Love your window seat!

I agree with you. I think it’s healthy so that you don’t feel strange when it’s just the two of you! and thank you! xx

Looks like you had a great trip. Holding hands without a child to grab hold of? Can’t remember the last time I did that! I so need a holiday without the monsters around! Love the pics from the Shoemakers Christmas, looks lovely! Have a great week x
