Swimming, Mockingjay Part 2 and lino – #Littleloves

My favourite thing this week was taking the boys swimming. I always forget how much they love it and it makes me so happy to watch them. Persuading them to get out is always rather dramatic, but it’s worth it!

I’ve not taken many pictures this week, so this post is rather bare.

This week I’ve been really trying to get better with the technical side of blogging. It’s a side of blogging I really find difficult and hide from, but it’s necessary. Sian’s blog tips have come in so handy!

Watched

On Wednesday night Jared and I headed out to see the final Hunger Games film. Despite it being a little (too) far fetched in parts – I still really enjoyed it.

Heard

It’s not really heard, but I’ve loved hearing what all my American friends and family are thankful for over Thanksgiving. I really think the UK needs to start celebrating it – it just sounds so wonderful!

Made

My mum and I had a great time at The Handmade Christmas Fair in Manchester. One of the best things about it was that it wasn’t too busy. There were so many things to look at and it was nice to have the space to see everything. We did lino printing, needle felting and upholstering. I used the sink next to Kirstie Allsopp in the toilets – she was just there doing her make up and I gave her a big smile! I want to share my favourite discoveries soon.

I wrote a tutorial for my DIY brown envelope calendar just in time for next week. There’s still time!

Wore

Before I even got pregnant this time around I bought a khaki Isabella Oliver Eldon dress in the sale. I wore it for the first time this week and it is SO comfortable. It makes me look so pregnant though!

and lastly…

This time next week Jared and I will be on our way to Krakow. I feel so emotional that we won’t be taking the kids with us and have cried a few times about it. It was never the plan, but my mum said we were being ridiculous and persuaded us to go alone. Children notice so many things we don’t and I know I’m going to really miss that. Win has made it clear that he has no desire to come with us – at all.

I love taking my girls swimming, It is tough getting them both dry and dressed ( while I shiver in a towel) but it is worth it. Haven’t had a chance to go see the new Hunger Games but it sounds fab! Have a lovely weekend xx

Sounds like you’ve had a great week. I’ve always wondered about felting, not that I have a crafty bone in my body, but it’s something I haven’t seen much of before. Have a great time in Krakow x

I really need to organise a date night with hubby to see the new Hunger Games film, we’re struggling to find an evening we’re both free at the minute.
Love the Isabella Oliver dress, I treated myself to an Isabella wrap dress off ebay to wear over Christmas, just waiting for it to arrive.
I hope you have a lovely time in Krakow! xxx
