My favourite thing this week was taking the boys swimming. I always forget how much they love it and it makes me so happy to watch them. Persuading them to get out is always rather dramatic, but it’s worth it!
I’ve not taken many pictures this week, so this post is rather bare.
This week I’ve been really trying to get better with the technical side of blogging. It’s a side of blogging I really find difficult and hide from, but it’s necessary. Sian’s blog tips have come in so handy!
On Wednesday night Jared and I headed out to see the final Hunger Games film. Despite it being a little (too) far fetched in parts – I still really enjoyed it.
It’s not really heard, but I’ve loved hearing what all my American friends and family are thankful for over Thanksgiving. I really think the UK needs to start celebrating it – it just sounds so wonderful!
My mum and I had a great time at The Handmade Christmas Fair in Manchester. One of the best things about it was that it wasn’t too busy. There were so many things to look at and it was nice to have the space to see everything. We did lino printing, needle felting and upholstering. I used the sink next to Kirstie Allsopp in the toilets – she was just there doing her make up and I gave her a big smile! I want to share my favourite discoveries soon.
I wrote a tutorial for my DIY brown envelope calendar just in time for next week. There’s still time!
Before I even got pregnant this time around I bought a khaki Isabella Oliver Eldon dress in the sale. I wore it for the first time this week and it is SO comfortable. It makes me look so pregnant though!
This time next week Jared and I will be on our way to Krakow. I feel so emotional that we won’t be taking the kids with us and have cried a few times about it. It was never the plan, but my mum said we were being ridiculous and persuaded us to go alone. Children notice so many things we don’t and I know I’m going to really miss that. Win has made it clear that he has no desire to come with us – at all.
Have a lovely weekend!
Linking up with Morgana from Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat. Celebrating the #LittleLoves that have made up your week.
Loving all your crafty bits. Glad my blog tips have helped lovely! Really want to see Mockingjay but a trip to the cinema is always so expensive! Have a lovely weekend xx
Oh, I know how you feel. we went to Amsterdam as a couple when Noah was 10 months and during the run up to it I was so emotional. We had a fabulous time when we were there though and I’m sure you will too! Looking forward to seeing your crafty bits xxx
Enjoy your trip to Krakow, that is somewhere i have always wanted to go. I bet you’ll have an amazing time. The Handmade Christmas Fair sounds brilliant, I had no idea something like that happened in Manchester. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it next year. #littleloves
I love taking my girls swimming, It is tough getting them both dry and dressed ( while I shiver in a towel) but it is worth it. Haven’t had a chance to go see the new Hunger Games but it sounds fab! Have a lovely weekend xx
I can’t wait to hear all about your weekend away in just over a week! I think I would feel the same about leaving the kids behind but you’ll have a great time. have a wonderful weekend lovely x
Sounds like you’ve had a great week. I’ve always wondered about felting, not that I have a crafty bone in my body, but it’s something I haven’t seen much of before. Have a great time in Krakow x
I am the same with swimming, it takes a lot of effort to get them there, but I always realise how much they adore it and all the fun we have! Good indoor wintery activity!
OOOO need to see the last hunger games – hopefully soon Nathan and I can hit the cin!
Love the interiors pic, I was looking at similar things to that lantern last night on H&M 40% off home stuff… maybes in the next house! x
The handmade fair sounds fantastic, I’ll have to go along next year.
Hope you’re having a fantastic time away! x
I really need to organise a date night with hubby to see the new Hunger Games film, we’re struggling to find an evening we’re both free at the minute.
Love the Isabella Oliver dress, I treated myself to an Isabella wrap dress off ebay to wear over Christmas, just waiting for it to arrive.
I hope you have a lovely time in Krakow! xxx
