My energy has been much better this week so Jared hasn’t been left doing every scrap of washing up and I feel much more on top of things. Win has been at nursery two days so I’ve been able to move slower too. I’ve loved watching Ru far more intently.
Both of us took Win on his first day and he just walked in and didn’t even bother saying bye. We awkwardly slipped out, because we felt really in the way. He hasn’t told us much, but he says that it’s fun and he wishes Ru could come. I’m hoping it will always be as easy as that. He did wake up the night of his first day talking (intermingled with screaming) non stop between 2-5am. A bit overtired and overwhelmed by everything I think. It’s hard to remember that at 2am though!
Read
I love blog posts that discuss slow living as it’s something I think about a lot. I loved reading this by Sara from Me & Orla.
Watched
‘Eat Well For Less’ last night. I love programmes like this and I love having a nosey at how other families eat. The family had to make lots of changes, but they were so lovely and really open to new ideas. I find it so interested how we can become so attached to branding for silly reasons and I learnt lots about various foods.
Heard
…that one of my friends is expecting a baby four days after mine! I couldn’t believe it. I am so excited.
Made
Jared always says that he doesn’t understand why I tidy and clean up, then instantly make more mess. I know it doesn’t make sense, but I do it all the time. The kitchen will be (almost) spotless and I suddenly decide to make something. It’s like cleaning clears my mind for a new ideas! The other night I decided to start spray painting feathers in our back room whilst cooking dinner. It just happens.
My favourite make this week was a veggie lasagne by Deliciously Ella. It was so yummy. The boys and I also made some buns and some oat cookies for visitors. I love watching them ‘bake’ and sorry the picture is blurry. They both had to have a change of clothes. Win and I also made this little book together.
Wore
Skinny jeans and ankle boots because it’s been rather cold. I bought a couple of maternity pieces from ASOS which I will be forced to wear in a few weeks time.
And lastly…
After the summer we don’t have any busy weekends on the horizon for a while, and I must say, I am rather excited about it.
Have a lovely weekend!

Ah bless you, I remember what it was like being pregnant with Rlodie and having two little ones to look after. It was hard going. Rest as much as you can!! Glad all is going well with nursery school. Noah’s settling well at school, but he’s shattered tonight! Xxx
I am resting at every opportunity! I’m far less tired than I was a couple of weeks ago – wahoo, but I’m still going to bed super early anyway! xx
