No sleep, food and ‘Suits’ – #Littleloves

This week has been a bit random. Jared had a tooth out last Thursday and he felt really unwell from it for quite a few days, Ru has woken up twice in the night with nose bleeds, I’ve woken up once with a nose bleed (I’d forgotten I get them a lot in pregnancy), Win came into our room one night at 2am chatting away as if it was the middle of the afternoon (always after a day of nursery) and the boys have both had croupy sounding coughs at night which have been keeping us awake too – all rather bizarre and for some reason I haven’t felt tired at all. I’m so thankful for that, and so thankful that Win’s tricky behaviour over the last two or three weeks, seems to have calmed down. So, all in all – it’s been a good one.

Ru and I did so much cycling the two days Win was at nursery and I loved it. He seems to enjoy it too.

Read

I (somehow) won a book called ‘Winter Living’ and it it so stunning. I’ve been flicking through the pages (with Win) and noting down lots of lovely ideas from it. It’s all a bit too gorgeous for someone with two young boys though.

Watched

Jared and I have watched a couple of episodes of ‘Suits’ this week. I do like it a lot, but my favourite thing about it is sitting down together and watching something we both enjoy – it’s lovely.

Heard

Yesterday I heard our baby’s heart beat for the first time. The midwife was calling it a ‘he’ and I think she is probably right! I have a feeling I’m destined to have just boys – the way I’ve always imagined it, even though I’d love a girl, I honestly don’t think it’s meant to be.

Made

‘Made’ is all about food this week as I’ve finally got my cooking mojo back. Curries, soup, bean burgers, houmous and smoothies have all been made and consumed. I have loved eating bean burgers with tomatoes, onions, houmous and cucumber all wrapped up in a huge lettuce leaf for lunch. We eat so much houmous it’s cheaper to make our own and it doesn’t go off after a couple of days like shop bought ones. I know this is a bit geeky, but I really enjoy making Win’s lunch for nursery. The thought of him sat there around a table with everyone is just too cute.

I’ve made a banana smoothie a couple of times too, as some mornings I haven’t felt like eating a solid meal. It’s a Deliciously Ella one (of course) – banana, avocado, cacao, two dates and almond milk. Seriously yummy and very filling.

Wore

Literally the same pair of black skinny jeans all week…a.k.a. the only ones that still fit me comfortably!

And lastly…

I went to look around two schools this week for next September – I loved them both, which was such a relief, and very confusing at the same time.

Have a gorgeous weekend!

E xx

What a lot of yummy food! I’ve totally lost my cooking mojo, I really need to be more proactive and do some meal planning.

Yay for not feeling tired. My daughter has been waking in the night (not something she usually does) but I am feeling tired with it. I loved hearing my duaghters heartbeat in pregnancy. I need to start watching suits. I watched a couple of episodes at my parents a while back and really enjoyed it but felt the need to go back to series 1! Glad you’re enjoying cooking again. Me too. I really want to make humous soon.

When you’re not used to broken nights – it is pretty awful! It took me a few episodes to like Suits but now I really like it xxx

You’re doing so well not to be tired from your broken nights. I don’t function without a good nights kip! Sounds like you’ve been making lots of tasty food. You can’t beat homemade soup and homemade houmous sounds delicious too. Have lovely weekend x

I don’t normally, so I’m not sure why! A much needed miracle, I think. I love homemade soup! So scrumptious and warming xx

Oh you poor thing. I remember preganncy nosebleeds. Mine were so bad with Elodie, they made me vomit. It was awful. Hope yours don’t last long!! How long does your humous keep for? I’m always throw it out and am probably wasting it. I need to get back on the smoothies. They always give me loads of energy! Loving the new blog xxx

Kerry – vomiting and nosebleeds sounds horrendous! I used to get them at work loads and thank you. It keeps for about a week whereas I find shop bought is only a couple of days. I’ve been putting in a jar of sun dried tomatoes. I’m in a definite smoothie stage at the mo – very up and down with them! xx

  9. 25th September 2015 / 5:20 pm

Oh! The nosebleeds! I remember them well! I had loads of them through my last two pregnancies! Hope they clear up soon! That book looks divine and right up my street.. May need to investigate! Lovely to discover your blog… Think I’m going to have a little nosey round!
