Walking, ‘camping’ and bread – #Littleloves

I love weeks like this one – no plans, but somehow it comes together. We spent a lovely day yesterday walking, talking, playing and splashing in puddles at a country park. Win impatiently ate lots of almost ripe blackberries, and Ru mostly slept. Another highlight of the week was a trip to Rainbow Factory in Leeds. It was really fantastic and we’ll be back very soon.

Tonight we are ‘camping’ in my parents front garden and tomorrow we’re going wakeboarding with some friends. I’m probably more excited than I should be. I’ve been on Pinterest for some easy things to cook on the fire, and I’m interested to see how they turn out.

Read

I remember reading this quote a long time ago, but I enjoyed rediscovering it. Another reason to love Roald Dahl. 76ede61d1783dc05c0d526174afc7dadWatched

The Great British Bake Off. I haven’t watched it properly before (I’m more of a Sewing Bee gal), but so far I am loving it! What amazing talent and creative ideas.

Heard

Favourite thing was Win saying: “Mum, I must say – you are the coolest girl in the world”. I’ll definitely be reminding him of that one when he’s older.

Made

Win and I made some bread for a friend this week. I think it’s such a simple little gift, and I love thinking about what the person is doing with it – toasting it, dipping it, spreading it. I don’t know why, it’s only bread. I also made a batch of Deliciously Ella’s oat banana cookies and they’ve been brilliant snacks for the boys – and me!

Wore

Oh goodness me. Nothing of note. It’s actually embarrassing how much I wear my dungarees though. Also been massaging a few people this week, so my ‘uniform’ has made a few appearances.

And lastly…

I bought Win a rucksack and a lunch bag for nursery this week. He has a settling in day on Wednesday and I can’t wait to see what he makes of everything.

Have a really fantastic weekend!

I love the Roald Dahl quote, he was my favourite author as a kid and I had every single one of his books and read them over and over. I think Matilda is still my favourite.
Your boys are so cute, love the pics of them. xxx

I’d always be happy to receive a loaf of bread as a gift! I’m still munching my way through far too much of the stuff on holiday. Will have to be starting a strict ‘no-bread’ routine when I get home. I’ve not tried the DE banana cookies, will have to give them a try! Xxx

What a lovely idea; giving bread as a gift is brilliant! So thoughtful and so much better homemade. Will definitely be nicking that idea! Great post #littleloves

Sounds like a lovely week as always. Those kind of ones where you have no plans but it all comes together are the best kind. My dungarees have also been out far too much recently, it’s not been warm enough to be in summer clothes and it’s not been that cold either- they seem like a good in-between option! x
