Friends, crumble and nursery – #Littleloves

Yesterday and today I have two friends I met when I lived in London staying with me. I haven’t seen one of them for years and years, so it has been brilliant to be reunited. I’m not sure what we’ll get up to today.

Win really enjoyed visiting nursery. He was cross with me that he couldn’t stay all day – I’m taking that as a good thing. I love imagining him sitting there with his little lunch box chatting away. I am so excited for him, and I can tell is thrilled that he gets to do something different to Ru – something completely his own.

Our camping trip last weekend was a lot of fun. Well, we survived!

Read

Very little other than Women’s Health. Aren’t bodies incredible? It may sounds strange (or cheesy), but every time I read it I have a new appreciation for mine. They’re just magnificent, beautiful and all round amazing.

Watched

The Theory of Everything. I’ve seen it once before and I really enjoyed watching again. Eddie Redmayne is just a marvel. I honestly don’t understand how he does it.

Heard

When Win left for his nursery session he bent down to Ru and said: “Don’t worry Ru, I will play with you as soon as I get back”. I’ve also heard them screeching at each other – a lot.

Made

One of my brothers took the boys apple picking one evening, so of course we made an apple crumble. It was a gluten free and sugar free version, and absolutely scrumptious. We had it with natural yoghurt and dash of maple syrup. I think we’ll be having it for breakfast too!

…and when your three year old asks you to make a crown, a shield and a sword you’ve got to act quickly. He has enjoyed them so much.

Wore

Oh! My dungarees have taken a back seat you’ll be pleased to know (despite them being featured in the above picture). Jeans and ankle boots this week – nothing too exciting.

I did but the boys some new tees because I realised Win’s 18-24m ones are starting to get a little short – finally! He grows so slowly and they’re completely worn out by the time Ru needs them.

And lastly…

August bank holiday weekend is always a get together on my side. A ghost walk and a trip to the seaside are on the schedule, and I’m very much looking forward to them.

Have a lovely weekend!

E xx

We didn’t make it to the seaside as it was raining heavily! I know, I’m not sure why they think we can make anything at any time! It is such a good film and very moving xx

Your camping trip looks like one big grand adventure. So fun. That apple crumple gluten free sugar free is right up my street love how you used yogurt and maple syrup too. Hope you share the recipe soon would love to try it. I am noticing I feel better if I don’t eat a lot of gluten or sugar. Been on a 40 day challenge from it and it’s worked wonders. Lovely #littleloves Esther so cute your brother took the boys apple picking. Love it.

I feel so much better if I avoid gluten…otherwise I just feel so bloated. I still don’t know why I can’t give up bread though. 40 days is an amazing achievement. Really well done! xx
