Before I had children I always wondered why parents thought it remarkable when their children walked – most children walk, what is the big deal people? but I’ve turned into one of ‘those’ people! It is so exciting for Ru (and us). He’s been wearing shoes all week – he has big, fat, wide feet (like me) that we are squeeeezing into Winston’s old shoes, but I think I’m going to have to (very begrudgingly) go and get him some wider ones – it’s like fitting a square into a circle!

I’ve got serious wanderlust at the moment after reading Lucy’s recent travels on Fashion Me Now. She stays in the most gorgeous and interesting places, and takes utterly stunning pictures. She’s given me a bucket list as long as my arm. Marrakech and Iceland are top of my list at the mo.
Watched
A lot of meltdowns this week from Winston. He seems to be very emotional all the time and we’re trying to adjust to it. It’s not easy being a three year old and making sense of the world – something I need to always remember. He’s needed a little extra attention.
Heard
Sun makes me want to listen to every single ‘feel good’ song that I know. This song (Cheerleader by OMI) will never be commended for its lyrics, musicality or talent, but I honestly can’t get enough of it. I can’t vouch for the video – so don’t judge me!
Made
…progress at the gym (dubious, I know). A few weeks ago I felt like I’d plateaued at the gym so I decided to have some personal training sessions. I’ve had three so far and he’s managed to find some muscular weak spots that I’m going to be working on. I have been aching lots, but in a good way. I feel like I’ve got direction again, and I’m still doing well with morning classes which gives me far more time in the evenings. Hooray!
Wore
Sandals one day, ankle boots the next – it has been such a mix of weather in Yorkshire this week. I love this off white Zara top that I own, and I’ve also worn a Mac lipstick called ‘speak louder’ which is a little out of my comfort zone. It’s very pink, but I’ve decided I really like it. If you’re heading to Blog On MOSI on Saturday I will be the one with the pink lips!
And lastly…
Last night I attended an event held by Crabtree & Evelyn in York and I had such an enjoyable time finding out about all their lovely products. Afterwards I headed to Yo Sushi by myself, which I haven’t done before – but loved!
#LittleLoves is a chance to remember all the things that made up your week. Linking up with Morgana.
Bless Winston, seems to be the week for tantrums. Love those sandals. And the cheerleader song is a fave on my shuffle. Have a lovely weekend xxx
I am so relieved that you said Cheerleader is on your shuffle! I had a feeling that I was the only one that appreciated the cheese. Thank you – I hope you had a good one too! xx
Lovely round up this week, love your ankle boots! The weather has been so ridiculous of late hasn’t it? Im pinning for long summer days now! Have a wonderful weekend xx
Thank you – ridiculous is the exact word and I really hope you had a lovely weekend too xx
Yo Sushi! sounds yummy Esther! Glad you enjoyed the event! Angela xx
Ang – we must go. It is so yummy! xx
The weather has been ridiculous here too. It’s sunny but freezing and so windy! Rubbish. I’ve never heard that Cheerleader song before but I love it! It’s definitely my sorta thing 🙂
Your boots and sandals are both lovely! I need some new shoes. I’ve been bumming around in dirty Converse.
Have a great weekend xxx
Cheerleader is on the radio all the time where I live…a good thing if you’re me! I’m glad you like it, my husband can’t stand it! Haha. Converse are so handy though – hope you had a lovely weekend xx
Lovely round up! I love Mac lippy’s and i think its good to step out of the comfort zone every now & then. I’ve done the same with MAC ruby woo! Shame i can’t make Blog on Mosi! Love your snadals and boots, ad i have had the same emotions with my H (almost three) xx
Thank you! I have Russian Red too which I love – had to get used to that before moving on to anything else. My hubs bought me ‘vamp’ for Christmas but I haven’t dared to wear it yet. It’s so dark! Kids certainly keep us on our toes – hope you had a lovely weekend! xx
Aww, enjoy Blog On Mosi Esther! I think Jo is going too – seek her out, she’s a doll! 🙂 Your outfits are absolutely gorgeous, as always – I love your Zara top and we really need to see this lipstick!! Have a brilliant weekend poppet xx
Oh Emma, you are just too lovely. Wish you were closer so we could catch up more often xx
Thanks Emma! I did bump into Jo and a couple of others – it was nice to meet people that are more local! If only I could buy the whole of Zara? I love it all! I hope you had an amazing weekend xx
Ha my song this week was cheerleader and I admitted it must be guilty pleasure I don’t know why but I love it! I’m seeing the meltdowns too-little B was 2 in January and the worst thing is the fake cry to see if he can get his own way! Xx
I’m so glad that it’s your guilty pleasure too! Fake crying…definitely very draining. It’s amazing how sharp they are so young. They’re certainly not simple little beings! x
Love your boots they’re gorgeous! My little one has wide feet too, he’s almost three and still likes to be carried as he can’t be bothered to walk far, little monkey! Have a great weekend! x
Thank you! He does sound like a cheeky monkey. I hope you had a lovely weekend xx
So lovely to hear about your week, definitely inspired by your morning gym routine. Great meeting you in York, glad you enjoyed yo sushi! x
It is slowly changing my life and lovely to meet you too. I love Yo Sushi…I can’t resist it when I’m near one. Hope you’ve had a good weekend xx
The tantrums are hard alright, and though they don’t last forever, you want to ring their necks in the middle of one!!! Amelia was a late walker – 19 months and everyone was obsessed with the fact she wasn’t walking! Love his little shoes,we have the opposite problem – extremely narrow feet! Good for you getting to the gym, you should be proud of yourself! Have a great week xxx
I know what you mean about everybody else being obsessed! Thank you – I am starting to feel much better for it. You too! xx
Your pink lipstick looked fab, and I loved your hair today, so lovely to meet you properly. It must be hard being 3, my little man is the same age and he really struggles with being told No, oh the drama. I’ve learnt he’s much better if we give him a time limit with things so he knows when something will end, or when he has to get dressed rather than it having to happen straight away.
xxx
‘Oh the drama’ is definitely the correct expression. So much drama! The time limit thing is a great tip – thank you. Lovely to meet you too and thank you for your kind words! Have a brilliant week xx
It’s tough being 3, the world is a tricky place to make sense of, even for us! Hope you had a lovely weekend with your family 🙂 xx
Absolutely! So tricky and confusing. Thank you – I hope you had a good one too xx
I know what you mean about going from sandals one day to boots the next – it’s so bizarre this weather isn’t it? But hey with sandals and boots as lovely as yours it doesn’t matter too much!!
Hope you’re having a good week xx
