Tiredness, car boot sales and cycling – #Littleloves

I have been tired this week, it happens to me every few of months and I’ve been less patient than usual with the boys. It doesn’t help when you have lots of little jobs to do either, that are a lot less convenient with two little ones (!) It’s still been lovely though and we’ve managed to be out every day. I’m terrible at going to bed early so I only have myself to blame!

I attended Blog On MOSI last Saturday (even though it seems like ages ago now) and I had a really lovely time. I can’t say I learnt much (am I allowed to say that?) but I did meet quite a few new faces and enjoy the energy of the day.

Read

I bought a copy of ‘The Snowman’ from a car boot sale on Monday and Winston has asked me to read it over and over again. The illustration fills me with nostalgia and it’s such a simple, magical story.

Watched

These two in our bike trailer. Our first outing was in the wind and rain as I’d promised Win an outing before realising how awful the weather was – next time I will definitely check the weather (and pump up my tyres). Ru clearly couldn’t stay awake during our second outing and I love that Win is holding his hand. Jared has been working more than usual this week so I haven’t had the car as much. It means I have to be a little more inventive – which secretly I love!

Heard

Ru is coming out with new words all the time – I love this stage! I can’t wait until he comes up with a sound for Winston, I’m interested to know what he will call him.

Made

I’ve made quite a few clothing alterations this week. I had a few items that didn’t fit quite right, or that I wanted to change in some way – now they’re perfect! It was fun getting my machine out again and I’m happy with the results.

I took part in May Day baskets for the second year in a row with Lou over at Littlegreenshed. I think it’s such a lovely tradition. I put together seven ‘baskets’ with the very limited foliage from my garden and gave them to friends. I loved arranging them.

Wore

Sometimes I have an urge to wear this jumper – I don’t know why, but I’ve worn it a couple of times this week.

Every May bank holiday I head to a local car boot sale solo – it’s become a little ritual of mine and my New Balance’s are so comfortable. I got there around half 6 and stayed for almost two hours. At first it all looks like junk…and then you start tuning in to all the treasures. I had such a good time.

And lastly…

I wrote a health and fitness post earlier this week – things are still going well.

I won’t be taking part in #LittleLoves for the next two weeks as we’re on holiday, but I’ll look forward to joining in when I’m back. I’ll be updating ‘The 52 Project’ as I love documenting how the boys change each week. Expect lots of Chinese holiday spam on Instagram – I’m going to be using it as a photo journal so I can keep track of what we did and when.

Wishing you all a very happy weekend!

E xx

#LittleLoves is a chance to remember all the things that made up your week. Linking up with Morgana.

I absolutely love a good car boot sale – I was gutted when our local one was rained off over the bank holiday weekend. You can grab some great bargains – especially toys, which are so expensive brand new.
    Enjoy your weekend,

Love that May Day baskets idea and they look very pretty. I’d love to do something like that but I kill every plant that enters my house or garden within about a week! Have a great holiday! x

Every time I come to your blog the first thing I think is what a gorgeous bunch of names your whole family has πŸ™‚

Anyway… you’ve made me really want a bike trailer! I don’t even have a bike! I need to rectify this because Elsa would absolutely love it.

Are you going to China?! Amazing. Have a wonderful time xxx
