I have been enjoying the sun this week – glorious is the only word that comes to mind. I love not having to think about coats and hats, it’s one less thing to remember.
We discovered that Winston has a confirmed place at nursery for this September – he will be going all day Wednesday and all day Thursday. It’s odd to think about this new stage of life for all of us and the new independence he’ll have. Starting him in January or April didn’t feel quite right and I really think he is going to be fine. I’m interested to see how it changes our family dynamic.
We had a really lovely day out in York on Wednesday, and lucky for Winston; Rufus was not at all interested in his ice cream.
Read
This week I have loved reading blogger ‘Happy Lists’. I’ve been able to renew my appreciation for the simple pleasures in life – whether it’s thermal socks, riding a bike or a parking space. They all make me very happy. Thermal sock o’clock has become an early evening ritual for me.
Watched
Nothing at all TV wise, but I have noticed that Win and Ru are interacting a lot more – both fighting over things and having fun together.
Heard
I think we went a bit far with describing to Winston what Easter is all about – at the time it seemed a good idea to give him the ‘unfluffed up version’ as he doesn’t really understand, but he keeps talking about killing people, soldiers and “nailing children to crosses with big screws”. We’ve been through the ins and outs of killing people way too much this week! I’m hoping it phases out sooner rather than later…
Made
A holiday clothing plan which is a little out of character. I’m determined to pack very minimalist for our upcoming holiday. I always take too many clothes, or the wrong kind of clothes. I also plan on coming back with lots of Chinese trinkets, which are obviously far more important than clothes!
Wore
Floral trousers, sandals and sunglasses. White floaty tops and tan sandals have also made an appearance.
And lastly…
I received a sponsor to BritMums 2015 this week, which I can’t quite believe. I wasn’t sure whether to go or not, but now it’s been decided for me. Hopefully it won’t be as awkward as last year!

#LittleLoves is a chance to remember all the things that made up your week. Linking up with Morgana.
Oh how exciting on the sponsor! I’m not there this year but sure you’ll have a ball.
In love with the trouser and sandal combo. Pretty toes xx
I know I was a bit shocked. Thanks Sian and what a shame you won’t be there xx
Love your trousers Esther! So pretty! I’m giggling at your little man discussing the Easter story. Annie has got it all a bit confused too, and couldn’t quite grasp the He is Risen part. She spent the whole Easter holiday telling everyone she met that ‘God is dead!’ Oops! 😉 Have a great weekend lovely xxx
Emma, that is hilarious! Rising from the dead is pretty confusing to be honest! Thank you – I hope you had a lovely one too! xx
Kids are just the best, hope the message of the story sticks as much as the gorey details :p it’s lovely that the boys are interacting more and more, such a special thing to see. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend xx
Definitely! So lovely to see them take note of each other more…the bad and the good! I hope it sticks too, far more interesting! xx
I love your outfit! And well done for your sponsor! xxx
Thanks Nat – very kind of you xx
Yay for getting a sponsor, well done. It can be quite pricey if you’re paying for it all yourself. Love your summer outfit, I desperately need to paint my toenails before I reveal my feet to anyone!xx
Thank you Jo. Definitely pricey…especially with travel from Yorkshire. I know exactly what you mean about toes…I’m constantly topping them up! I really should do them properly, it feels so good xx
Loving your sandals and trousers.
Congrats on getting a sponsor for Britmums! xx
Thanks Morgana! x
