Superworm, chocolate eggs and China – #Littleloves

I’m a little late with this weeks Little Loves. I was going to leave it due to time, but it is so nice to reflect on the little things that make up our week.

We filled in our visa application forms for China this week. The next step is to book an appointment at the Visa Application Centre in Manchester. We only have 6 weeks to go and I can’t wait! We planned our itinerary too and have been looking at places to stay on Air bnb. I really want Rufus to be walking, but it doesn’t look likely.

Read

Winston chose ‘Superworm’ when we popped into WHSmiths this week. It’s no denying that Julia Donaldson is brilliant. Super worm is long, strong and helps all the bugs, bees and beetles out. It’s really fun.

Watched

Incredibly boring again, but I’m feeling a little lost with the election coming up so I’ve watched the Jeremy Paxman interviews and Question Time. I’ve got a little more reading to do before I decide where to place my vote. Politics has never been a strong point!  Everybody in our area loves Labour because it was a mining area – very distracting.

Heard

Win’s new word is ‘wicked’. It’s not a word I say very often but he has said it A LOT this week. He also told me I was having a very ‘unusual lunch’ which I loved.

Made

We’ve done lots of Spring and Easter related crafts this week. I’m going to do a separate post, but my favourite was making chocolate eggs. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do! We took them to a friend’s house and scoffed the lot. SAMSUNG CAMERA PICTURES

Wore

I’ve worn my new flats no less than three times (!) Some mornings have been really warm so I’ve worn some long sleeved linen shirts. I love this stripy one.

And lastly…

Even though the Easter holidays don’t really affect our routine, there are lots of activities going on in our area that I’m excited to take the boys to.

Winston painted a picture at playgroup – he said was a ‘bottom with poo coming out’. What a charming child.

Thanks for hosting Morgana.

My favourite chocolate is from Lidl and they don’t do an egg in it – now there is an answer! Egg shaped chocolate seems to taste much better for some reason anyway? Not sure why! x

Haha your little one’s comments sound hilarious! Artistic genius 🙂 I need to do some election research too, maybe need to confront my dislike of Question Time and the like to get a better feel for things… Hope visas go alright, have a lovely weekend xx

Half disgusted, half uncontrollably laughing. I am with you on that one – Question Time is SO frustrating. I end up shouting at the TV and deeming it ‘pointless’. I need to face it more often too! Thank you – I hope you have a wonderful one too xx

Argh I just leave the room if my hubby’s watching it, and switch off the radio whenever they’re listening in on the House of Commons – why do they just shout at each other all the time?! Maybe I’m missing something huge :p xx

The week before was Humpty Dumpty – far more sensible! I’m really excited but we have a lot to organise before 🙂 Eeeep x

Those Easter crafts look fantastic – anything chocolate and egg shaped is a winner for me! Superworm is on out long list of books to buy, we’ll get it at some point x

What an interesting choice of subject for his painting 😉 I am so jealous that you are going to China! I had the opportunity to go when I was at uni but I dropped out and I’ll probably never get to see it now. Oh well.
