#LittleLoves – bean burgers, silver brogues and a #springtimesurpriseproject

This week has been really lovely. Amongst other things we visited a farm and I looked after my one year old nephew yesterday which was mad, but great fun.  Seriously had a hoot looking at some high school flashback photos published recently by a local newspaper. Can you spot me on this picture?

Read

I love reading Bradshaw & Sons whenever the seasons are changing. Emma always finds beauty in such simple things and is always going on adventures with her three boys. I have also really enjoyed Sian’s blog this week. She is such a fantastic writer.

Watched

Not much at all(!) but I would highly recommend watching ‘Things We Won’t Say About Race That Are True’. Well worth a watch.

Heard

I love listening to KISS and Capital EXTRA on the radio in the car. I’ve particularly enjoyed them this week. They play so many songs from my teenage years. Such fond memories.

Made

I made Hemsley Hemsley black bean and feta burgers one night for dinner. We had a few leftover so I’ve been eating them for lunch wrapped in huge a lettuce leaf, along with houmous, tomato and onion. Seriously good.

Win and I have put together a list of Easter crafts so I’m excited to get started  – nest making, making our own chocolate eggs, an Easter tree (like last year) and piñatas are all on the list. Any excuse to get the craft box out I say.

Wore

A bit of a mix this week – some days it has been so warm and then it has been freezing again. The New Balance’s have been out a few times this week, as have my silver brogues. I bought a camel polo neck in the Next January sale, and the colour is surprisingly versatile.

I also bought the most amazing shoes from Next. I don’t often spend this much on one item but it was love at first sight. Feeling a little hypocrital as I wrote a post this week on appreciating what I have more.

And lastly…

I cannot go without mentioning the incredible #springtimesurpriseproject that I received from my partner Laura from Holmes Sweet Holmes. I was so completely overwhelmed. I tried to decide which item was my favourite and I couldn’t…then I realised it didn’t really matter. The silver spoon with ‘WATER ME’ stamped on it soon found a home. It is all too gorgeous.
