I am thankful for Instagram when writing Little Loves posts. I only joined three weeks ago but it is a great way to look back on the week.
Read
My reading of actual books has gone to pot over the last couple of weeks. I try so hard not to read my food and craft books, but they always suck me back in. Inspire has made an appearance this week. I did read Women’s Health and LOOK magazine though (!) Jared is away for 6 days from Saturday and I’ve got a few books I want to plough through.
Watched
Lots of fish. We had such a nice time at The Deep on Wednesday with three friends. I find fish really therapeutic to watch and Rufus particularly loved it too. They have the most gorgeous penguins there – I loved watching them swimming and rolling around.
A mouse in our house (!), that we really need to sort out. Jared has been out in the evenings a lot this week and all I can hear is it scratching around…including right now. It sounds huge.
Made
We attempted to make bird nests but they didn’t go that well. It was fun collecting all the moss, twigs and straw so all was not lost. We’ve been juicing lots this week, plus Winst and I made some raw cocoa coconut balls.
Wore
Denim and leopard ankle boots.
The comfiest trainers ever. A pair of vintage New Balance’s I found on eBay. Really happy with them.
My favourite ankle boots with a grey jumper and camel coat.
And lastly…
On Tuesday Ru and I dropped Winston off at playgroup for a couple of hours. I hadn’t had chance to eat breakfast and felt really hungry so Ru and I headed to Frankie & Benny’s (which is not normal at all by the way). I had poached eggs on toast with a peppermint tea which I enjoyed and it was one of my favourite times with him. He was so happy, playful and just brilliant company. I loved every minute of it…even the part where he decided to poo up his back and through his vest and tights. I didn’t have spares (whoops) so he left wearing a lot less than when he went in, and for some reason it really didn’t matter. It was all part of the fun!
#LittleLoves is a chance to remember all the things that made up your week. Linking up with Morgana.
You’ve got a fab collection of shoes.
I totally agree that fish can be therapeutic, I have wasted a great deal of time watching our fish this week. If I had penguins to watch I’m sure I would never move again!
Have a great week and I hope you catch your mouse. We had a nest in our garage and the little critters flicked the cheeses out of the trap and scoffed it without getting caught!! x #littleloves
Thank you, that is very kind! I’m not sure what it is about fish? and I know exactly what you mean about penguins. I definitely could have taken a few of them home. Cheeky mice! Perhaps mice have evolved to recognise traps nowadays? We need to get a plan together, it seems to be in the walls! Boo! xx
We recently went to our local Frankie’s & Benny’s – really ipressed since the last time we went – the food was awful then but it was such a lovely meal this time, with three littles in tow! Loving your outfits, those boots!! x
As long as they continue doing poached eggs I will be a happy customer. The balloons certainly help entertain the kids, and thank you. Have a lovely weekend! xx
I love little ‘dates’ with my boy too…even if they do involve poonamis!!
Preferably without…but perfectly fine with, too! 😉 xx
I love all your shoes Esther – gorgeous choices! And those little one on one dates are the best – I really must try and do it more with my 3! Xx
Thank you! I feel far more appreciative of my shoes after all of the kind comments 🙂 Hope you get on some dates soon xx
I really want to take my boys to the aqarium! It’s quite a drive from us, but I think it would be fun! Quite a shoe collection you’ve got going on – I love it! Happy weekend!
It really, really good! Maybe you could make a weekend of it? Hull isn’t known as the nicest of places but the old town is lovely with a few museums too. Wilberforce House is fantastic. Thank you – eBay is where I get all my shoes from! xx
You can see in the last picture that Ru has grown so much since I last saw him. Brilliant fashion choices by the way. xox
He’s definitely a person rather than a baby now! and thanks gorge xx
I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for going to Frankie and Bennys for breakfast. I’ve been a few times with my little man on my day off and i love it, plus it’s quiet because it’s midweek.
Love the shoes xx
It was dead when we went – I love that you go with your boy on your day off. Brilliant! And thank you. I hope you had a lovely weekend! 🙂 xx
Lovely collection of #littleloves! I love all your wore section and I’m the same – I never get to read a full book, too many distractions! How lovely that ye went for breakfast, even if it did end up being poop!! Hope you have a great weekend xxx
Thank you! I must have had a good wardrobe week last week. Definitely – I have a huge pile next to my bed that is ever increasing. It’s so sad! There is nothing like a good book…or blog for that matter 😉 xx
Like you I adore watching fish and find hem so therapeutic, I’m happy that my E seems to agree as aquariums are her favourite places to visit. I love going out for breakfast, it always feels like a proper treat. Ru’s face in that picture is just too cute! xx
I know what you mean about breakfast! It does feel very indulgent! xx
