An exciting interior design project

My brother in law is a landscape architect and property developer. Currently he is renovating two farm houses in the Washburn Valley just outside Otley, Yorkshire. By the summer he is also hoping to have two exclusive luxury lodges, up and running suitable for both families and romantic getaways. Set in the tranquil, rugged countryside of Yorkshire they have a stunning view, a babbling brook, a sauna and a hot tub each.

The lodges are going to be imported from Latvia and he very kindly asked me to head the interior design, which I am beyond excited about. I have been working on coming up with a clear look – cosy, functional and luxurious with a touch of Scandi influence. Modern eco chic – my idea of heaven. I won’t be blogging about it very often, but it is a project I am already enjoying immensely.

…and in summer – alfresco dining, cycling, a day in the breathtaking Yorkshire Dales and an evening in the hot tub.

This is my first opportunity to do something like this so I am grabbing it with both hands. I can’t wait to see the finished project but there is so much to do between now and then. If you are visiting Yorkshire in 6 months time -watch this space!

That sounds like so much fun and to be buying lots of lovely home drug with someone else’s budget, would make it even more fun. Judging by the photos of your own home, you will have them looking lovely in no time! Xxx

They’re still in the process of getting the insulation sorted but once it is I’ll be able to buy things. I’m really excited! x
