I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! So, here we are at the end of The 52 Project which I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. The boys have changed so much and so many precious memories have been recorded. This week’s aren’t festive, but they were taken at one of my favourite outings over Christmas – the four of us popped to Billy Bob’s Ice Cream Parlour near Skipton for lunch. It was new to all of us and everything was really fantastic – the indoor and outdoor play areas, the food, the design, facilities and staff. Really wonderful and Winston was particularly thrilled.
“A portrait of my boys, once a week, every week, in 2014″.
Two other moments I’ve loved over the festive season was taking Winston & Rufus swimming – nothing spectacular, but it was just me and them. I didn’t miss a thing and they were so incredibly happy. Then one morning the three of us had an hour long bath together, which is always such a crack up!
Rufus turns one in just over two weeks (which is blowing my mind), and since his ear infection cleared up, I feel like his personality is really coming out. He has a very strong grip (essential when you have a two year old brother), smiley and would happily cuddle all day long. He’s not that great with people other than Jared and I, and likes to be close to one of us – total opposite of his brother. He’s not showing signs of walking any time soon, and I gave him his first hair cut last week.
Winston, is still unbelievably chatty and always has an answer (or excuse) for everything. He is also very easy going, tidy (!) and good company. He is enjoying drawing much more than ever before, but his first love is vehicles. He will speedily correct anyone who wrongly identifies a vehicle. Still a lover of shorts and states what he is wearing as soon as he wakes up.
Here is the first one I took (Week 23):

Lovely photos Esther. I think I am going to do this next year. I hope it will help get me back into regular blogging.
Thanks Kathryn! I’m surprised how much I loved it and it is a mini journal for them. I’m definitely going to do it next year (or something similar)! Happy New Year! xx
