Basket Basket are suppliers of Fairtrade handmade French and African shopping baskets. It is a family run business based in North East Hampshire, and they sell a huge variety of different shapes, sizes and colours. The baskets are hard wearing, eco friendly, chic and unique – as each one is slightly different. They are excellent for picnics, shopping, storage, holidays and perfect as a gift.
The baskets are handmade by talented artisans, ensuring their specialist skills are not lost for future generations. They are all made with natural products and come direct from family run businesses in Morocco, Ghana and Madagascar. They say they pay Fairtrade prices, and they do pay Fairtrade prices.
I bought a Medium Short Handled Basket about three years ago, which I love, have used lots and is still in perfect condition. Then recently I won (which I couldn’t believe!) a Leather Trim Classic Basket, and I was reminded of my love for Basket Basket. The baskets are such a versatile, functional gift and they really do have one to suit everybody’s taste. Next on my wish list is an African Bolga Basket – they are gorgeous!
Basket Basket were the winners of Small Business Sunday 2013 created by Theo Paphitis, and are always on the look out for new styles to share with their customers.
They also sell some rather gorgeous giraffes and a range of rather useful trays.
You can find the full range of products on the Basket Basket website, or for regular updates, follow them on Facebook.
