DIY Gift Idea for Young Explorers – Nature Craft Box

I have a couple of nephews, plus Winston to think about this Christmas, so instead of getting them a vehicle of some description, I thought I would create each of them a nature craft box. I’ve selected nine crafty projects that I will include in the box – each in a separate bag with materials and instructions. Project number ten will be a list of more ideas to get them more involved with nature. I’ve started collecting things and can’t wait to put it all together. I hope they like it!

1. Walnut boats

2. Animal leaf crowns

3. Cork boats

4. Pine cone elves

5. Stone animals

6. Bird feeders

7. Aquarium in a jar

8. Paper plate rainbow

9. Peg aeroplane

If the idea of making one causes you to panic (!) – there are places online where you can buy pre-made nature boxes. Thimble & Twig is one of them…and they just happen to be stunning!

what a lovely idea my 10 year old son would love this as would my 3 year old daughter but with some more simple projects, A very clever idea and I am sure will be loved by the 3 boys you are putting it together for.
