My life is my own again

Up until a couple of weekends ago I’d been feeling like my life wasn’t my own. We’ve had huge family events on both sides of the family, so I don’t feel like we’ve had a ‘normal’ week in a very long time. Now our lives are a little quieter the boys and I have been enjoying being spontaneous again. We had an impromptu visit to Farmer Copley‘s with some friends which was much needed and just lovely. My friend and I chatted away and then they have a bouncy pillow, tyres, corn maize, tractor rides, hay bales, animals and a giant inflatable slide. The cafe is great, as is the shop.

I cracked on with a few DIY jobs around the house. Nothing to ambitious but I put up a few pictures and other bits that have been hanging around the house for too long.

This is for Winston to store any treasures he finds on our travels. It’s by the door and low down so everything is easily in his reach.

I bought these baskets from Homesense and now they’re firmly attached to our lounge wall housing a cacti plant and a few of my favourite books. I love how they turned out, and grateful that the books I’m always routing around the house for are in one place.

We gatecrashed a family trip to Center Parcs for a day and Winston and Rufus could not get enough of the swimming pool.

We’ve spent this last week in Cornwall, so I’m excited to share some pictures from that. Today I had a surfing lesson!
