Physically I am feeling like I have completely recovered from the birth – my body certainly doesn’t look it but I feel really well – I don’t have any discomfort and my legs have stopped aching. I felt ready to start doing exercise again (which I know isn’t recommended until 6 weeks but I honestly feel absolutely fine, apart from the fact that the bags under my eyes are bigger) so have started with my favourite workout DVD by Tracey Anderson. It’s a whole lot of abs!
I was feeling quite nervous about doing it in case my muscles couldn’t cope with any of it, so Jared agreed to do it with me…and who would have guessed that I fared much better than he – the next day his abs were aching and I felt well enough to do it again (which I did!). I felt so relieved and am excited to continue. Tracey suggests doing the workout 4-6 times a week (!) which I am hoping to build up to – I don’t want to do too much too soon. She promises that all the skin will fit tightly back to the muscle again. We’ll see about that. I’m not 100% convinced! and there’s a long way to go.
